School Production

Maffra Secondary College annual school drama production is a highlight of the year, with students from Years 7 through to 12 working together to put on a magical performance.

In 2022 the school drama production will be the beautiful play “Masquerade” by Kit Williams and Kate Mulvany.

Masquerade is a beautiful and whimsical play based on the children’s picture book by Kit Williams. The picture book explores the story of the Moon who has fallen in love with the Sun. The Moon sends a hare named Jack on a journey to deliver an amulet, pose a riddle and tell him of her love.

All students at Maffra Secondary College have an introduction to the performing arts via a semester-long Drama class in Year 7. Thereafter students can choose from a range of drama type electives, and the drama production itself is open to all students across the college who have an interest in performing.
